Melissa is an accomplished development economist with over 14 years of experience across public policy, business and the not for profit sector.
Melissa is a commercial and strategic thinker with a track record in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects. For eight years, Melissa was a Senior Consultant at a major Australian engineering and environmental services firm where she led the delivery of socio-economic development projects in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Melissa has also held roles in the economic policy branch of Prime Minister and Cabinet in Australia and as a consultant to the World Bank in Vietnam. Melissa was previously the Senior Economist at Save the Children, the world’s leading independent charity for children.
Melissa holds a Masters in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and is also a qualified lawyer.
