The story of Equity Economics

Our team combines technical economic and social policy analysis with an ability to communicate. We are committed to working in partnership with clients to achieve change. We now work across the not for profit, corporate and government sectors, to help build an ecosystem for policy reform that is equitable and inclusive.

Our firm has expanded from its Sydney base to draw together experts based in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth. We have local partners in each of the countries we work.

Our workplace is built on the principle of flexibility and putting people and their families first. We are modeling the workplace we think is necessary to empower women to work and excel in all aspects of their lives. We combine flexible hours and remote work, shaped around staff needs and preferences, to create an inclusive workplace reflective of our policy goals.

We remain a unique firm, committed to ensuring all stakeholders are empowered to contribute and participate in complex economic and social policy debates, to shape their communities. As our impact and firm grows, we remain focused on supporting the most vulnerable in our community and region.

What our Clients Say

“Equity Economics researched a ground-breaking report on innovative policy solutions to the housing affordability crisis in Australia for Habitat for Humanity Australia. The report not only gained national media coverage but has been a catalyst for us to engage with State and Federal Government. Their economic expertise, coupled with a deep understanding of policy making proved to be an asset to us in this process.”
